Life Without my iPhone

As much as the iPhone changed the way I thought of a cell phone when I first bought it, honestly I don’t miss not having it at all.

I switched back to a standard phone/text/camera/non-smart phone, mostly to save money and make my life less complicated. You don’t realize how much time you waste checking email and playing with apps on them. I actually get a little annoyed now when I’m talking to a person with a smart phone and it beeps in the middle of our face to face conversation. They pull out the phone and check the email while still talking. Then suddenly stop talking as they compose an email and continue the conversation 45 seconds later, like nothing really happened. I think it is really rude.

Then remember I did the same thing just a few weeks ago.

Nothing ruder than someone who answers the phone in the middle of a conversation. I’ve seen stores with a sign saying (paraphrasing) “We won’t be rude and interrupt your conversation by serving you whilst you are on the phone”
