I found that while packing my house for moving, I had two large boxes of cleaning products. All kinds of specialty items. Scrubbing bubbles, OXY everything, Stainless steel cleaner, window cleaner, drain cleaner, grout cleaner and many more. Somewhere in the past I had fallen victim to every cleaning commercial.
Minimizing my cleaning products was important to me. I really wanted to simplify everything and move to products that were better for the environment. I did some Google searches and was amazed how much I was able to find. After looking at forty to fifty sites, I found that they all really focused on a few main ingredients:
- Baking Soda
- White Vinegar
- Hydrogen Peroxide
All of which are available at your local grocery store and are very inexpensive.
One of the best guides I found was The Minimalist Cleaning Method by Annie Jean Brewer.
